Azaleia C’dellisa: HOW DID NATURAL HAIR GROWTH BECOME SO HUGE, CITING THAT THE HAIR WAS ON YOUR HEAD ALL ALONG, WERE WE ALL VISION IMPAIRED, AND WHATS AMAZING SOME OF US STILL DISLIKE OUR NATURAL HAIR GROWTH, WE COMPLAIN ABOUT TRANSISTIONING OH TWO TEXTURES AH FED UP (THEN WHY DO IT), THEN OH MY HAIR SO HARD IT CANT DO THIS IT CANT DO THAT, SOME OF US ARE NATURAL BECAUSE WE SEE OTHERS AND WE WANT TO TRY IT TOO, FOR SOME IT WASNT A WILLFUL DECISION WE ARE STILL SCARED TO SHOW OUR HAIR TO FRIENDS OR ANYONE ELSE BECAUSE OF WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY, MY POINT IS GROW YOUR HAIR IN ITS NATURAL STATE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, NOT BECAUSE YOU FEEL PRESSURED TO BE IN THE NATURAL FAD OR COMMUNITY DO WHAT SUITS YOU ITS YOUR HAIR AT THE END OF THE DAY.

Andrea McGee: Its like this in my eyes..How did God make your hair? You got a choice to wear it how he made it or you can do it your way. lol. I accepted my natural hair growth because it was growing thing for me. I didn’t want to do it because everyone else was doing it. I wanted wear my hair natural for ME.

Jeannine Francis-Brown: I was sick of the cost of relaxing my hair and not loving it afterward. I was inspired by one of my co-worker’s natual hair growth 12 years ago, I loved her curls and waves…I’ve been natural for 10 years now. Back then, only a small handful of celebrities had natural hair (more with locs) and no one was talking about How-to do anything with my 2 texture curls so I read every book in sight and spent alot of quality time in front of the mirror in trial and error mode. Be grateful for Facebook pages such as this, youtube and other blogs for the curly girl trend that is quickly becoming a way of life for many.

Lori-Anne Nalah Shaner: I had natural hair growth until I was 10 it was waist length then relaxed it and it slowly started to break . I was inspired by everyone going natural and made then decision to transition many times but finally did last year

Maya Papaya Ifeanyi: Honestly, I don’t think half of the women who have natural hair now will still have it in 5 or 10 years. Natural hair is nothing new. Billions of women have worn and been proud of their natural hair for centuries. Only recently did it become mainstream which brought on this wave on new naturals. There’s nothing wrong with that but I hate that people consider natural hair a new or recent movement. It’s as old as civilization and just because it’s new to the media doesn’t mean it’s new to the people.

Kristee Hall: I made the decision to leave the relaxer alone, when my hair was really not reacting to it after getting my first perm@12. If I knew what I know now, I would have never went that route. My hair always grew long when I took care of it and this time I wanted to really be in control of my hair’s destiny. I enjoy educating others on how to take care of their hair better. I wouldn’t give them the gas face for having a perm or weaves, but just let them be aware of how to take care of their natural hair.

Hathor Skye: I have to laugh at myself… I became natural ignorantly. What I mean is… I didn’t know anything about the natural hair growth movement and no one around me was natural. I was stuck of wigs, couldn’t afford them or relaxers anymore. I only knew of one person on you tube with natural hair, and I watched her because I thought she was cute and had style. After watching her one day, I just went into the bathroom and cut my relaxed ends off. That was the day that a Phoenix rose from there ashes, because I felt reborn. I feel more confident and empowered and different now. I love my choice. It just makes me laugh because I really dorky get the magnitude of what I did, or how big this movement really was. But I do hope more people will keep with it and not give up on it.

Mima Williams: I didn’t know it was a big movement and I’m definitely not one to do what everyone else does. But I have a very valid reason medically for going natural I will admit the transitioning is a challenge and the first time I tried natural growth I was halfway there and I got fed up and threw a perm back in it smdh now I’m back to square one 2 1/2 months w/o touch up but inonly perm my hair twice a year which really means i didn’t need to be perming my hair in the first place….but this time no matter what Im not going to give in especially since I now know what to do and how to treat the natural hair
